ALUMNI NEWS ] ASID AWARDS GALA BAC Alumni, President honored at ASID Awards Gala In a ceremony held at the Boston Design Center, the BAC received accolades for its professional contributions to the interior design community. e BAC was well-represented at the ASID New England Awards Gala. Alumni were recognized in the " Under " receive awards ceremony, while President Landsmark received an ASID New England Presidential Citation Award. " e time management skills that are learned through concur- rent education are huge in the workplace and are really valued by employers," said Polansky. "Upon graduation, BAC alumni have a skill set which makes them very attractive since they already have the knowledge of the workplace." ese skill sets, coupled with charisma and energy, are setting BAC alumni at the forefront of the design world. As young professionals, they're working their way up the professional ladder at lightning speed. ey are looking at old spaces with fresh eyes and are breathing cutting edge design into the built environment. "I commend the ASID for creating this award which has helped nour- ish my career as a young interior designer," said Perez. "I was extremely honored to receive the award and recognition for my hard work, both professionally and academically. I feel this award validated my current position as an Interior Designer and helped me gain a newfound respect from my colleagues." BAC President Ted Landsmark was also honored at the event with an ASID New England Presidential Citation Award for his continued support and promotion of the interior design profession through educational opportunities and events.
